ABOUT THE ONE-HOUR
DOCUMENTARY...
Professionally produced in digital format, the one-hour
(56-minute) Hands in Healing documentary offers a hopeful message
that violence—ranging from domestic conflicts and child abuse to
hate crimes and terrorism—can be overcome, and often prevented,
through dialogue, reconciliation and personal transformation.
Powerful narratives trace life experiences with violence as
travelers on a 12-city cross-country pilgrimage encounter a former
Ku Klux Klansman, a Ground Zero firefighter, a Supreme Court
Justice, an aerospace executive who witnessed the terror attack on
the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001.
Travelers recount their own healing
after incidents ranging from the shooting of family members to the
injustice of growing up under apartheid in South Africa. Bishop
Bruno adds his own perspective as a former police officer well
acquainted with aggression. |
