ABOUT THE ONE-HOUR DOCUMENTARY...

Professionally produced in digital format, the one-hour (56-minute) Hands in Healing documentary offers a hopeful message that violence—ranging from domestic conflicts and child abuse to hate crimes and terrorism—can be overcome, and often prevented, through dialogue, reconciliation and personal transformation.

Powerful narratives trace life experiences with violence as travelers on a 12-city cross-country pilgrimage encounter a former Ku Klux Klansman, a Ground Zero firefighter, a Supreme Court Justice, an aerospace executive who witnessed the terror attack on the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001.

Travelers recount their own healing after incidents ranging from the shooting of family members to the injustice of growing up under apartheid in South Africa. Bishop Bruno adds his own perspective as a former police officer well acquainted with aggression.

A series of five 30- and 60-second spots have been produced for Episcopal congregations and dioceses to use as public service announcements or paid commercials.

Each of the spots can be customized with a printed tag-line for your congregation or diocese, including its Web site and telephone number. Samples of the series are available by CLICKING HERE

For a total cost of $600, the series can be purchased and personalized in our studios for the use of your congregation or diocese. Consultation is also available with regard to optimal placement in your local media market. The purchase of air time is the responsibility of participating congregations or dioceses.
